Raindrop Sprinters

Overview

Raindrop Sprinters is a 2D indie deliberately-retro action game developed by room_909 and published by Mediascape for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on August 3, 2023, with a worldwide release on September 7, 2023. A PC version, released on Steam, is in development.

In Raindrop Sprinters, players guide a cat's paw across a school hallway, collecting bouncing stars while avoiding a never-ending barrage of raindrops. Despite its simplicity, the game is filled with secrets and challenges that require use of risky maneuvers (which are made slightly easier with the game's sole button, used for "slow-mo"). The game is designed to resemble classic '80s arcade games, and can be played with a vertical screen orientation (or "tate mode").
