Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengance

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengance

An enhanced, multi-platform version of SMT 5.

In addition to being available on more platforms with better graphics and framerate, there will be several additions to the game from the original SMTV.

New Characters

  • Yoko Hiromine, a mysterious classmate who the Protagonist will meet in Da'at
  • Qadistu, a group of priestesses including Lilith, Naamah, Eisheth Zenunium, and Agrat bat Mahlat.
  • 40 new demons to be added, including the aforementioned Qadistu, and the "Nahobeeho" (a Jack Frost version of the Nahobino).

New Story

  • The base SMTV narrative is called the "Canon of Creation." However, there will also be another story branch called the "Canon of Vengeance," focusing on the Qadistu.
  • The Vengeance path will allow the protagonist to explore Shinjuku in Da'at, and enter a new dungeon called Shakan.

New Gameplay

  • Demons now come with passive Innate Skills that can produce synergy with their party, depending on the types of demons in it. When properly matched, these demons can launch special group Magatsuhi Skills.
  • Magatsuhi Demons will occasionally appear in the netherworld, covered in a glowing red aura. They will be more powerful than standard demons, but defeating them will allow the player to gain special incense.
  • Level Cap raised from 99 to 150 (available when playing Godborn difficulty through New Game +).
  • At certain points in the game, you can have human guest characters join your party and fight with you, including the legendary Demi-Fiend from SMT3.
  • Enemy AI adjusted to allow for wider variety of interactions when talking, occasionally calling for reinforcements, and begging for mercy a little more often.
  • Auto-Battle now tweaked to allow for Auto-Attack (where the party will launch normal attacks) or Auto-Skill (where the party will prioritize using skills that match enemy weaknesses).
