Isaki Shuugorou no Keiba Hisshou Gaku

A Famicom game designed to teach players how to successfully bet at horse racing, endorsed by Shugoro Izaki.

Overview

Isaki Shuugorou no Keiba Hisshou Gaku (roughly "Shuugorou Isaki's Sure-Fire Winner Horse Racing Knowledge") is a horse racing game for the Famicom that is specifically designed to teach players how to pick winners in real-life horse races, conveying tips and info that those players can use along with hypothetical races. The game is endorsed by Shuugorou Isaki, a TV horse-racing pundit famous in Japan.

The goal of the game is to earn enough money from the ponies to hit the target required for the good ending, paying back any bank loans they may have taken out to get started. Unlike most other horse racing sims, the player themselves does not race nor do they train and raise racehorses.
