Puzzle Game Rong Rong is a nikakudori-style mahjong solitaire game developed and released by Nakanihon (under license from Activision) for arcades in both Japan and Europe in 1994.
A spin-off of the Shanghai series, Rong Rong is based on the "nikakudori" variant of mahjong solitaire, where all tiles are "open", but can only be matched if a path of 1-3 orthogonal line segments can be imagined between them that touches no other tile. This version is unique in that the tiles are stacked (like traditional mahjong solitaire), requiring players to only match tiles on the same layer.
Along with the standard "Rong Rong" mode (where players solve puzzles from nine dragons), the game includes a "Sexy Girls" mode, where players uncover pictures of scantily-clad women (with the option to interact with them, if some options are enabled), and a two-player "Battle Mode".
This specific variant of mahjong solitaire was later used as the "Rong Rong" mode for the 1995 game Game no Tetsujin: The Shanghai.
