Overview

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is set to have a massive cast of characters including the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and Ryan Davis' own favorite M.O.D.O.K.

The players are tasked with defeating Thanos and The Black Order by teaming up with a maximum of four players online or in the same room in this long awaited follow-up.

The game plays at the traditional isometric perspective, but it is also offers a zoomed in perspective called Heroic Camera for players who want to try something new.

  • DLC 1 - Released Fall 2019, the first DLC introduced a Gauntlet game mode where players would choose a team of 4 Heroes in a survival-style run of 3-5 scenarios with set conditions and enemies. Health orbs don't drop and health and energy carry over from one scenario to the next, with set missions healing a set amount of health. Also added the first four DLC characters, themed against Marvel's "Knights" imprint.
  • DLC 2 - Released in December 2019, the second DLC added another Gauntlet to challenge and unlock the characters. There was also an instanced PVP mode introduced through the Danger Room, the X-Men's holographic training area. Two separate teams compete in two separate instances against AI opponents toward a single goal. Each player is able to send obstacles at one another through various popup missions in each scenario. Another 4 X-Men characters were also released.
  • DLC 3 - Released in March 2020, an epilogue for story mode is added with 6 extra unlockable characters.
