Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R

The fourth and final revision of Guilty Gear XX further refines all characters (including new and rebalanced commands) while including the two normally-hidden characters from the start (refining them to be tournament-legal).

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R (also known as Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus R) is a 2D sci-fi fantasy fighting game developed and released by Arc System Works for arcades (using PC-based Sega RingEdge 2 hardware) in Japan on September 20, 2012. It was also released digitally via the ALL.Net P-ras MULTI Version 2 service on March 14, 2013.

The fourth and final revision of the Guilty Gear series' third main installment (after Guilty Gear XX Accent Core), XX Accent Core Plus R includes the two hidden characters Kliff and Justice as playable characters in the arcade version (rebalanced and unlocked from the start), as well as an updated HUD, several new Force Breaks and other techniques for many characters, other balance changes, and a new set of color palettes (each based on characters from the BlazBlue series).

The changes from XX Accent Core Plus were later brought into the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of that game as a free update (on August 7, 2013 for the Japanese PS3 version, on October 11, 2013 for the 360 version, and on March 3, 2014 for the North American PS3 version). The game was also released digitally for the PlayStation Vita in Europe (on February 14, 2013), Japan (on March 19, 2013), and North America (on April 23, 2013), for the PC worldwide on May 25, 2015, and for the Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 16, 2019. The Switch version was later included in the Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Pack compilation.

All characters from XX Accent Core return, along with Kliff and Justice from the XX Accent Core Plus version, for a total of 25 playable characters.
