Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star- is a visual novel developed by Favorite for the PC. The game was released on March 27, 2009 in Japan.
A complete edition titled Hoshizora no Memoria Complete was released on November 26, 2010, this release contains Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star- as well as follow-up fandisc, Hoshizora no Memoria -Eternal Heart-, which was released on January 29, 2010.
Story
The story follows Kogasaka You, the main protagonist of Hoshizora no Memoria. He along with his sister Kogasaka Chinami return their hometown after his mother's sudden death. Upon arriving Kogasaka You returns to a observatory, here he reminisces about a young girl, who he used to play with as a child and who's name has escaped him. While in the observatory, a young mysterious girl appears before him holding a large scythe. She address herself as a shinigami, a grim reaper who reaps nightmares.
Gameplay
The game is set up as your fairly standard visual novel, the common route is where a player makes choices that then contribute to which route is chosen. There are a total of 6 routes in the game.
