Tear Ring Saga: Berwick Saga

Tear Ring Saga: Berwick Saga

The second and last entry in the Tear Ring Saga strategy RPG franchise.

Overview

Tear Ring Saga: Berwick Saga is a 2005 PlayStation 2 strategy RPG developed by Tirnanog and published by Enterbrain. The title is a sequel to the PlayStation strategy RPG, Tear Ring Saga, and both games are heavily reminiscent of the Fire Emblem franchise because both series were created by Shouzou Kaga. However due to the legal issues Tirnanog and Enterbrain encountered with the first game, with Nintendo accusing the developer of copyright infringement and winning on appeal, Berwick Saga was also the last game in the series to be released.

While Berwick Saga was never released outside of Japan, it was fan translated into English by Aethin. The project began in 2018 with Aethin releasing patches that translated a few chapters at a time until the completed translation was uploaded online in February 2020.
