Lords of the Realm

Lords of the Realm is a turn based strategy game developed by Impressions Games and published by Sierra in 1994 for the PC.

Impressions Games was well known for their historically based city building games, such as Caesar, Zeus, and Pharaoh, in addition to Lords of Magic (a followup to the Lords of the Realm Series).

Gameplay

Lords of the Realm tasks players with battling against five opponents in medieval Europe to become the king of England or Germany. Players accomplish this task by building up their territories and economy, allowing them to build stronger and stronger armies.

While overworld gameplay was turn based, actual battles were fought in an early real time strategy format, where players could control individual units or groups.
