Fifa 99 was a huge improvement from Fifa 98. It featured new leagues and some major graphical improvements. The game had basic facial animations and varying player heights. Players could create their own leagues and cups for the first time as well as adjusting the strictness of the referee. Fifa 99 began to attract a much larger community as many new websites dedicated to the Fifa series arised.
