Overview
Released in 1997 exclusively for Windows 95, The Reap showcased several of DirectX 3's capabilities, such as real time colored lightning, lens flares, reflective surfaces and massive amounts of particles - people and debris would fall out of exploding vehicles, and colorful translucent explosions would fill the screen.
Like most of other Housemarque games, the gameplay was clearly and deliberately influenced by classic arcade titles, in this case Zaxxon.
