Plot
The Pumpkin King takes place before the original movie. It details Jack Skellington's first encounter with Oogie Boogie. Jack meets up with many familiar characters, and meets some new faces, too. Just as The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge is a sequel, this is a prequel.
Gameplay
This game is a 2D platformer, with some Castlevania elements thrown in to spice things up. The first weapon you get in the game is Frog's Breath. It damages enemies close up. The next weapon is a bat-a-rang type weapon. It is your primary range weapon, and primary weapon in general. The thrid weapon is a pumpkin bomb. Not only does it explode on contact, it is also useful for clearing out crumbling walls that are in your way.
