NBA 2K3

NBA 2K3 is the fourth installment of the NBA 2K series of realistic basketball games, updating the roster to the 2002/2003 NBA season while adding online multiplayer (for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions) and co-branding with the ESPN.

Overview

NBA 2K3 is a realistic basketball game developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and GameCube on October 7, 2002. The fourth installment of the NBA 2K franchise, NBA 2K3 covers a customizable 2002/2003 NBA season while beginning a temporary co-branding effort with the ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network). While Fantasy Mode (where every player in the season is put into the drafting pool, instead of just newcomers) from NBA 2K2 is removed from the series, online multiplayer is added for the Xbox and PlayStation 2 versions.

The cover athlete of NBA 2K3 is Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers, who remains the cover athlete for the series until ESPN NBA 2K5.
